Maersk Line announced changes to its Far East-Mediterranean network from mid-September that are intended to improve its service.

“With the new services we will be able to provide an even better coverage of Spain and Italy with three weekly calls in Valencia and by adding a new port to our network, La Spezia in Italy,” Maersk Line said.

The AE11 will add a call at Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, which will allow AE5 to focus entirely on servicing Port Said,Egypt, and those ports transhipping via Egypt. The AE11 will stop calling Fos Sur Mer, which will be covered by AE15.

AE15 will add a new Port Said eastbound call to improve the connectivity from the Mediterranean to Asia and provide a number of new products to Nansha and Xiamen.
