DB Schenker has opened a new health-care and pharmaceutical logistics center in South Korea as it continues to expand its specialty hubs worldwide.

The 6,100-square-meter facility in Gunpo, near Seoul, is fully equipped to provide health-care and pharmaceutical warehousing services, including specialized vaults for sensitive  products such as psychotropic and radioactive items.

The center is one of the company’s 26 contract logistics sites in 15 countries offering specialized services.

The firm recently opened health-care specialty hubs in India and the Philippines and plans to launch more in Singapore, Sweden, Australia, and The Netherlands.

“Health-care logistics is more than just moving boxes. It is a critical part of our job to deliver safe, effective healthcare products to save lives,” said Peter Logan, vice president of health-care vertical market and contract logistics and supply chain management at DB Schenker.
