The Aircargo Forwarders Association of the Philippines (AFPI) has a new set of board of directors and officers for the term 2016-2018.

Erich Lingad, president of Move It Multimodal and Logistics, Inc., has been elected president, replacing Maria Antoinette Reyes, Eagle Express Lines, Inc. vice president, who will now be chairperson for the two-year term.

Dexter Yu, All Systems Logistics, Inc. managing director and former AFPI chairman, will serve as chairman emeritus.

Kintetsu World Express Phils. Inc. director Marilyn Alberto is first vice president and Dimerco Express (Philippines), Inc. country manager Philip Lim second vice president.

Other officers are Benny Anunciacion, president of SeaJet International Forwarders, Inc., treasurer; Chris Coching, president and chief operating officer of Asialink Cargo Phils. Inc., auditor; Nelson Mendoza, president of Awards Cargo Agency Phils. Inc., corporate secretary; Nancy Maramba, station manager of Wen-Parker Logistics Phils. Co. Ltd., Inc., PRO; and Gilbert Purcia, president of Purcia Transport System, Inc., sergeant at arms.

Elected directors are Mila Patag (Cargoaire Freight Forwarders, Inc.), Arnold Brizuela (AAI Worldwide Logistics, Inc.), and Irene Manguiat-Tan (Transmodal International, Inc.).

An association of airfreight forwarders established in 1980, AFPI is the only national industry organization recognized by the Civil Aeronautics Board.
