Kerry Logistics, a Hong Kong-based freight forwarder, has opened two new offices, one in Myanmar and another in Sri Lanka, as part of its continuing expansion drive across Asia.

The two offices add to the company’s existing freight network in the region, where it has offices in Vietnam, Thailand, India, and Bangladesh.

“The new office in Myanmar will help strengthen our growing capabilities in the Greater Mekong Delta while Sri Lanka is one of the fastest growing shipping and logistics hubs in South Asia,” said Kenneth Ko, executive director of Kerry Logistics’ international freight forwarding division.

Last month, the company announced it has started building a new warehouse in the Song Thang area of Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam that is slated for completion in early 2013.

It has also bought land in Rayong Province, Thailand, for the construction of a logistics facility for the automotive sector that is set to be finished by the second quarter of next year.
