The Philippine International Seafreight Forwarders Association (PISFA) and the Philippine Shippers’ Bureau (PSB) are set to sign a memorandum of agreement (MOA) on January 26, 2012 that will create a green lane for accreditation and renewal of PISFA members in the bureau.

The facility will allow PISFA members to secure accreditation from PSB in just five days from the usual three to five weeks.

“PISFA members will greatly benefit from the reduced accreditation processing time as a result of this initiative,” PISFA president Irene Manguiat-Tan told PortCalls.

“The green lane will be for PISFA members as we believe their members have already proven their integrity,” PSB director Atty. Pedro Vicente Mendoza said.

“We will also study the possibility of opening the green lane to other non-PISFA members with proven integrity in the future.”
