Compañía Sud Americana de Vapores (CSAV) and CMA CGM Group announced July 28 a new vessel sharing agreement to jointly operate the trade between Asia and West Africa.

The New Discovery Service will deploy five 3,100 20-foot equivalent unit (TEU) vessels on a weekly service directly linking Asia and West Africa. This is a sign of CSAV’s “positive views towards the future economic growth in the West African markets,” the Chile-based carrier said.

The VSA starts on August 2 at Ningbo with the following port rotation: Ningbo, Shanghai, Chiwan, Hong Kong, Port Kelang, Lagos, Lome, Tema, Abidjan, Port Kelang, Ningbo.
