CNC Line to inaugurate latest intra-Asia loop in August

CNC LineCheng Lie Navigation Company (CNC Line), a CMA CGM subsidiary that specializes in intra-Asia services, will launch another Vietnam service in August, to be the third to the country in a span of two months.

CNC announced it will kick off the new HHX network service connecting China to Vietnam on August 6.

The HHX rotation is Ningbo, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Haiphong, Hong Kong, Qingdao, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Haiphong, Hong Kong, and back to Ningbo.

The HHX service offers customers first sailing from Ningbo/Qingdao to Haiphong in Vietnam, second and third sailing from Shanghai to Haiphong, second and third sailing from Haiphong to Hong Kong, and fast transit time from Hong Kong to Qingdao.

Earlier, on July 23, CNC also launched the JTV service connecting Japan, South Korea and Taiwan to Vietnam.

It has a rotation schedule of Osaka, Kobe, Moji, Busan, Kwangyang, Keelung, Taichung, Hong Kong, Ho Chi Minh (HCM), Shekou, Hong Kong, Xiamen, Keelung, and Osaka.

The JTV service, said the Taiwan-based shipping line, offers second closing from Osaka to South Korea, a niche call at Moji, a third sailing from South Korea to Taiwan, a second closing from Kansai to HCM, a first closing from Taiwan to HCM, a first closing from HCM to Xiamen, and a first closing from Xiamen to Kansai.

This follows the introduction on July 13 of the KCV service connecting Japan, South Korea, and China to Vietnam.

The KCV’s port routing is Osaka, Kobe, Kwangyang, Busan, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Shekou, Ho Chi Minh, Shekou, Hong Kong, and Osaka.

The service network provides a direct connection between Kansai and Ho Chi Minh, first connection from Osaka to Busan, and third closing from Busan to Ho Chi Minh.

Meanwhile, compatriot carrier Evergreen Line will add a third dedicated Far East-Middle East swing to its portfolio through slots on the Middle East-Asia Express (MAX/MEX) operated jointly by Orient Overseas Container Line and Cosco.

The MAX/MEX service will follow this port rotation: Shanghai, Ningbo, Hong Kong, Shenzhen-Shekou, Singapore, Jebel Ali, Dammam, Port Klang, Singapore, Hong Kong, and back to Shanghai.
