ID-100283259The public can now view online operations within the premises of the Philippine Bureau of Customs (BOC) as they happen in real time.

BOC on September 1 soft-launched its online address showing livestream videos of activities inside and outside of the main BOC building as captured by CCTV cameras, with the goal of promoting transparency.

The livestream may be accessed through public IP address 119.92.124.28 by anyone equipped with computers or smartphones.

The online streaming is controlled by BOC’s CCTV command center, which receives images from around 40 cameras installed around the main building—including in the office of Customs commissioner Nicanor Faeldon.

Currently only videos within the main BOC building can be seen in the command center and on livestream. BOC said around 94 CCTV cameras have already been installed, but livestream videos still have to be set up in other areas such as the Port of Manila, Manila International Container Terminal, and Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

For now too, only 10 users at a time are allowed to log into the system. Login details are as follows: username: guest1 up to guest10; password: password123 (same for all 10 usernames).

After initial login, the system will prompt the user to download a browser plugin to view the livestream.
