She will take the place of Alexander Arevalo who is being transferred to the Department of Finance.

Also appointed deputy commissioner for Intelligence was Prudencio Reyes, Jr. Reyes will replace Filomeno Vicencio, Jr who held the post in an acting capacity.

The heads of BOC’s seven collection districts will also be resuffled to revitalize collection efforts.

This year, the BOC is tasked to bring in P320 billion, P305 billion of which is expected to come from cash collections and the rest from the tax expenditure fund.

Last year, BOC fell short of its goal of P280 billion by around P30 billion as a result of the implementation of zero or reduced duties on major commodities and the appreciation of the peso.
